À propos
“Music is not only characterized by notes and melodies but also by the finesse of the musician’s playing and the subtle nuances of the different sounds, may it be live or on recordings. The musical experience is not only defined by the quality of the artistic proposal but also by the sound system's ability to transcribe it. It’s the main interface between the artists and the audience”
It's with this idea in mind that Guillaume Pidol left his job in the industry after the pandemic and decided to push further his musical passions and obsessions.
Having already started to play in different clubs and venues as Joel Champion's protégé, at the time resident DJ & technical director of the "One Again" club in Marseille. And one thing became quickly clear : the sound was rarely on point! Too loud, lack of precision, badly tuned system or inadequate acoustics, deafening monitors or turntables working correctly one time out of five…
He gets in touch with Paul Thomas, working at that time with Marc Henry (La Grande Castine, Kornhent) & Pascal Brossard (l'Atelier du tube) for some domestic speakers, but following a dream, they start to build the first transportable Hi-Fi system built for 1500 or more capacity. After a few month of work from different talented craftmens for the audiophile world, Suave Sound System's "Godzilla" was born.
Fast forward a few months after launching the project, the sound system makes his way in different festivals such as La Cade’s “Cavalcade” and Atipik’s “Le Chant des Oiseaux” where incredible disc jockeys take turns in the booth behind “Godzilla”. The feedbacks are more than positive, on the sound system but also on the DJ monitors, some calling it the best experience they had in a DJ booth.
The “Suave” seed was planted, flourishing after some prototyping around the Mente's ancestor.
Suave continues to grow everyday with new ideas, products & team members with the same credo in mind :
"Bring emotions threw sound"
